Character info

The character

Greninja is the final evolution of the Froakie line, a Water-type Pokemon first introduced in the Kalos region. Known for its ninja-like speed and stealth, it is one of the signature Pokemon associated with the Kalos games and later gained prominence through competitive battling and anime appearances alongside its Trainer Ash. It is recognized for its shuriken-forming water techniques and agile combat style.

This card

This is Greninja ex, card number 021 of 128 from the 30th Celebration set, printed in 2026 with RR rarity. The print carries the Pikachu 30th Anniversary Stamp variant treatment, marked with the stamped Pikachu icon bearing numerals 3 and 0 in the lower right of the artwork. The illustration, by 5ban Graphics, depicts Greninja in a dynamic blue-toned splash of water against a starry background.

How it plays

Greninja ex is a Stage 2 Water-type Pokemon with 300 HP, evolving from Frogadier. Its first attack, Stealthy Slash, costs one Water energy and deals 30 damage to one of the opponent's Pokemon for each damage counter already on that Pokemon, ignoring Weakness and Resistance for benched Pokemon. Its second attack, Aqua Edge, costs two Water energy and deals 160 damage. The card has weakness to Lightning (x2), no listed resistance, a retreat cost of one, and follows the Pokemon ex rule where a knockout gives the opponent two Prize cards.

A card with this name and number exists in the public card catalogue, in 30th Celebration, a set of 128 cards, rarity RR. The details on this certificate match it.

A catalogue match is not the authenticity check. It confirms the card is the card it claims to be. Whether it is genuine was checked separately, on the card itself; see Authenticity below.

Authenticity

WinnTCG authenticated this card in hand, on the bench, against genuine Pokémon cards. It was checked four ways: light shone through it to check the core, its weight on a scale, its thickness measured, and its print pattern and surface texture under magnification.

How this card was graded

WinnTCG graded this card in hand, on the bench. The card was in our hands, and we sealed the case ourselves. We photographed it here under controlled light to show which card is in the case and where anything we marked sits on it.

If you are buying this slab: the grade is WinnTCG’s judgement of the card that was in front of us, and WinnTCG sealed this case. The photographs above are of that card. Compare them against what you can see through the case, because a case can be opened by anyone who has held it since.

The working behind this grade

Every grade here is published with its reasoning. The report states what each measurement returned, what the model proposed on each axis, where the grader disagreed with it, and every defect marked on the photographs above.
