Character info

The character

Meowth is a scratch cat Pokémon known for walking on its hind legs and collecting shiny objects, most famously as the talking mascot of Team Rocket's trio in the anime. It is normally a Normal-type Pokémon, prized for its cunning and greed. In the games it is a common early-route catch with an evolution into Persian.

This card

This is Meowth ex, card number 062/088 from the Perfect Order set, printed as a double rare holo. The artwork by 5ban Graphics shows Meowth leaping forward mid-attack against a bright outdoor background with motion streaks radiating around it. The card is marked with the POR set code and an English language indicator.

How it plays

This Basic Pokémon has 170 HP and a colorless typing with weakness to Fighting type (x2) and a retreat cost of one. Its Ability, Last-Ditch Catch, lets the player search their deck for a Supporter card and add it to hand once per turn when this Pokémon is played from hand to the Bench. Its attack, Tuck Tail, costs three colorless energy and deals 60 damage while returning this Pokémon and all attached cards to the player's hand. As a Pokémon ex, when it is Knocked Out the opponent takes two Prize cards.

Authenticity

WinnTCG authenticated this card in hand, on the bench, against genuine Pokémon cards. It was checked four ways: light shone through it to check the core, its weight on a scale, its thickness measured, and its print pattern and surface texture under magnification.

How this card was graded

WinnTCG graded this card in hand, on the bench. The card was in our hands, and we sealed the case ourselves. We photographed it here under controlled light to show which card is in the case and where anything we marked sits on it.

If you are buying this slab: the grade is WinnTCG’s judgement of the card that was in front of us, and WinnTCG sealed this case. The photographs above are of that card. Compare them against what you can see through the case, because a case can be opened by anyone who has held it since.

The working behind this grade

Every grade here is published with its reasoning. The report states what each measurement returned, what the model proposed on each axis, where the grader disagreed with it, and every defect marked on the photographs above.
