Character info

The character

Greninja is the final evolution of the Froakie line, a Water-type Pokémon first introduced in the Kalos region games. Known for its ninja-like speed and shuriken attacks, it later gained prominence as Ash-Greninja in the Pokémon anime through its unique bond with its Trainer. It is widely recognized as one of the more popular starter-evolution Pokémon due to its design and competitive presence.

This card

This is Greninja ex, numbered 021/128 from the 30th Celebration set, marked with the RR rarity and a Pikachu 30th Anniversary Stamp variant. The artwork, illustrated by 5ban Graphics, depicts Greninja in a dynamic water-splashed pose emphasizing its blade-like tongue and aquatic motifs. The card is a Stage 2 Pokémon evolving from Frogadier.

How it plays

Greninja ex is a Stage 2 Water-type Pokémon with 300 HP, weak to Lightning-type attacks (x2) and a retreat cost of 1. Its first attack, Stealthy Slash, costs one Water energy and deals 30 damage to one of the opponent's Pokémon for each damage counter already on that Pokémon, without applying Weakness or Resistance for Benched Pokémon. Its second attack, Aqua Edge, costs two Water energy and deals 160 damage. As an ex Pokémon, when it is Knocked Out, the opponent takes two Prize cards instead of one.

Authenticity

WinnTCG authenticated this card in hand, on the bench, against genuine Pokémon cards. It was checked four ways: light shone through it to check the core, its weight on a scale, its thickness measured, and its print pattern and surface texture under magnification.

How this card was graded

WinnTCG graded this card in hand, on the bench. The card was in our hands, and we sealed the case ourselves. We photographed it here under controlled light to show which card is in the case and where anything we marked sits on it.

If you are buying this slab: the grade is WinnTCG’s judgement of the card that was in front of us, and WinnTCG sealed this case. The photographs above are of that card. Compare them against what you can see through the case, because a case can be opened by anyone who has held it since.

The working behind this grade

Every grade here is published with its reasoning. The report states what each measurement returned, what the model proposed on each axis, where the grader disagreed with it, and every defect marked on the photographs above.
