Character info

The character

Meowscarada is the final evolution of the Sprigatito line, a Grass-type Pokémon known as the Magician Pokémon. It is recognized for its trickster persona, using its flower-like ruff and cloak of overgrown fur to perform sleight-of-hand ribbon tricks in battle. It debuted as one of the starter Pokémon evolutions introduced in the Paldea region games.

This card

This is Meowscarada from the Korean-language Battle Partners set (SV9), numbered 012/100 and printed at rare (R) rarity. It is a Stage 2 card with 160 HP and a Grass energy symbol, evolving from Floragato. The artwork, illustrated by kodama, depicts Meowscarada alongside two smaller Grass-type Pokémon in a dramatic night scene with sparkling light effects.

How it plays

The card has an Ability called Showtime, which allows the Pokémon, if on the bench, to be used once per turn to switch itself into the Active position. Its attack, Rising Bloom, costs two colorless energy and deals 90+ damage, dealing an additional 90 damage if the opponent's Active Pokémon is a Pokémon ex. It has a weakness to Fire-type attacks (x2), no listed resistance, and a retreat cost of one energy.

Authenticity

WinnTCG authenticated this card in hand, on the bench, against genuine Pokémon cards. It was checked four ways: light shone through it to check the core, its weight on a scale, its thickness measured, and its print pattern and surface texture under magnification.

How this card was graded

WinnTCG graded this card in hand, on the bench. The card was in our hands, and we sealed the case ourselves. We photographed it here under controlled light to show which card is in the case and where anything we marked sits on it.

If you are buying this slab: the grade is WinnTCG’s judgement of the card that was in front of us, and WinnTCG sealed this case. The photographs above are of that card. Compare them against what you can see through the case, because a case can be opened by anyone who has held it since.

The working behind this grade

Every grade here is published with its reasoning. The report states what each measurement returned, what the model proposed on each axis, where the grader disagreed with it, and every defect marked on the photographs above.
